Transitioning from level to level looks like it should award style points at the end

Developer Insomniac Games has released a new video related to their upcoming Xbox One exclusive third-person shooter Sunset Overdrive.

The video goes into detail, explaining the team's inspiration while creating the open-world environment that players will be able to enjoy in their game, while also offering additional information on the type of side quests that players will encounter while progressing through the campaign.

Sunset City, the place where it all goes down, consists of a series of superimposed vertical playgrounds, making for a crazy and crowded urban setting, and players will be able to move either up or down in a manner looking like a crossover between Prince of Persia and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

"We think of the street as a beginners level, so that's just mostly grinds and bouncies and all that jazz, but the higher up you go the more you're going to have to combo your traversal and utilize your wall run in order to get around," says Brandon Winfrey, associate community manager at Insomniac Games.

Sunset Overdrive was revealed during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference and will be featured at this year's edition of the convention, taking place in Los Angeles next week.

The game is coming exclusively to the Xbox One home entertainment system from Microsoft, sometime later this year.
