Suda 51, the leading developer at Grasshopper Manufacture, believes that the newly revealed Gigolo Mode for his upcoming Killer Is Dead is not different in terms of tone from the content that a celebrated developer like Rockstar includes in the Grand Theft Auto series.

The CEO tells Eurogamer that, “I think Western publishers do similar things, like with GTA, going out to a strip club and other things. But I do understand that if a Western developer was to create something like Gigolo Mode it could backfire.”

Gigolo Mode in Killer Is Dead will allow protagonist Mondo Zappa to take a break from battle and killing in order to seduce a number of women in the game world.

He will be able to use special glasses to literally see their heart beats and the physical expression of their feelings for him.

Killer Is Dead will arrive on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 during summer.
