After releasing the Steam mobile app, Valve has now allowed all of its users to actually access the digital distribution service using the brand new application.

We were quite happy last month when Valve presented its Steam app for the iOS and Android platforms. Sadly, while you could download the small application, you couldn't actually access the mobile version of Steam unless your account was approved.

Now, Valve has finally lifted that awkward restriction, allowing everyone with a valid Steam account and an Android or iOS-powered device to access Steam on the go.

You can do quite a lot of things with the app, like browse the Steam storefront, buy games, or chat with friends right from your mobile device.

You can expect some more features to be added at a later point in time but, at least for basic functionality, the Steam mobile app is great.
