Video game developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver announce that they are planning to bundle their shooter Metro: Last Light with all coming hardware prototypes that will use the new SteamOS from Valve.

Oles Shishkovstov, the chief technical officer at the studio, states, "We are excited by the prospect of bringing the ultimate Metro experience, powered by next-gen PC hardware into the living room."

Valve said that 300 members of the community would be selected to test out the hardware and its associated software.

Metro: Last Light takes gamers to the underground network of Moscow in a post-apocalyptic scenario and introduces new factions to deal with, more creatures to battle and an exciting story to explore.

The shooter was previously launched on the Windows powered PC, Linux and Mac.

Since it was first released, the developer has delivered a number of DLC packs that expand the scope of the universe.
