The development team at Valve is delivering a new version of the client program for its Steam digital distribution service, designed to improve overall performance, fix some issues linked to DOTA 2 and Portal 2 and expand the Big Picture experience.

A full list of all the changes introduced is available in the official announcement.

Gamers are now able to better manage their Downloads section and they can use a new High Priority setting for updates in order to make sure that a number of apps move to the front of the queue when new content is released for them.

Valve is constantly listening to its community, which has recently passed the 65 million mark, and improves the Steam client to make it as easy as possible for players to buy and play games.

The company is working on hardware and a SteamOS that are set to be launched in 2014.
