Valve has just posted a brand new update for its Steam client, bringing quite a few improvements to the digital distribution service, including fixes for certain Steam Cloud issues, that not only eliminate errors but also allow for a faster startup and shutdown. What's more, the "There is no disk in drive" error is also fixed.

Steam has received quite a few updates in recent months, and the newest one includes fixes for some particularly pesky issues relating to the Steam Cloud online system.

More specifically, the new update fixes an error that disabled auto-cloud updating for save game files, and shortens the time the client needs to start or close by eliminating unnecessary cloud syncs.

The client update also fixes the "There is no disk in drive …" error message for Windows users.

The brand new Steam update is already live and should be automatically downloaded and applied when you start up the program.
