Eric Musco, a community manager working on Star Wars: The Old Republic, is suggesting that BioWare might be getting ready to add player controlled housing to its MMO in the coming months.

The announcement was made via the official Twitch streaming channel for the game and it is sure to please a lot of fans of the MMO who have been asking for a similar feature since the game was first launched.

No details on the player housing feature for The Old Republic are yet available and it's unclear whether BioWare plans to give it to all those playing the title or if it will be limited to those who are willing to pay for a monthly subscription.

Most MMOs give gamers some form of individual or guild based housing, which they are free to customize in any way that they see fit.

The new feature might be part of a larger expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic although at the moment BioWare has not revealed working on one.

The MMO was launched in late 2011 and initially used the same business model as World of Warcraft but small player numbers forced the developer and publisher Electronic Arts to move to a free-to-play system.
