Developer BioWare still intends to deliver player housing to its science fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, although the feature is coming a bit later than expected.

The company's latest release is a trailer for the Galactic Strongholds expansion, offering a glimpse of a Tatooine homestead, showing how BioWare aims to deliver a pleasant and peaceful rural existence on the Skywalker home planet, far from the noise and bustle of the city-planet of Coruscant.

Players will be able to proudly display the trophies they earned in battle, as well as craft state-of-the-art furniture in order to adorn their homesteads, and wealthy players will be able to afford the luxury of owning multiple Strongholds and lead cutting-edge multi-planetary lives.

The video also reveals that those who opt to subscribe to Star Wars: The Old Republic before July 15 will get early access to the new content on August 19, well before the expansion goes live, and will also receive some bonuses in the form of a Nar Shadaa Sky Palace, with three additional rooms unlocked – an unbeatable offer valued at around 1.5 million virtual in-game credits.

Galactic Strongholds will become available on September 16 for Preferred Status players, while the rest of the world will be able to enjoy the new content on October 14, when the expansion officially launches.
