Speaking to investors as part of a financial briefing Yoichi Wada, who is the president of Square Enix, has stated, “Regarding yet unannounced IPs, we should certainly be able to announce two to three titles to everyone within a few years.”

The executive also believes that his company would be best served by establishing a solid line of game universe, adding “With a requirement that an IP has to be capable of making a continuous profit contribution, we are aiming to establish ten IPs.”

Wada confirmed that one of the ten and the main Western property is Deus Ex, mainly to the solid success enjoyed by this year’s Human Revolution.

The company is set to deliver two new games based on the Unreal Engine 3, one of which will apparently be a medieval action role playing game appealing to Western audiences.

Square Enix is diversifying its portfolio after the recent lower than expected performance of the Final Fantasy video games.
