Ubisoft has confirmed that Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Rayman Legends haven't reached sales expectations despite critical success.

Ubisoft has released quite a few big games in the past few months, including Splinter Cell: Blacklist or Rayman Legends, and it's getting ready to debut Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag at the end of the month.

During a financial earnings call, via CVG, Ubisoft has confirmed that, despite success in terms of reviews, both Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Rayman Legends haven't sold that well.

These lower than anticipated sales have been attributed by Ubisoft to the reluctance of consumers to invest any more in the current generation of consoles and titles, as many are now saving up money for the PS4 or Xbox One and for different next-gen games.

Ubisoft didn't say just how many units the titles sold or how many they needed to sell in order to meet forecasts.
