All of THQ's assets are set to be sold later today to different bidders as part of the company's bankruptcy auction, but South Park Digital Studios has just filed an objection over the sale of the upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth game, which was set to be published by THQ soon.

THQ's bankruptcy process will see an auction take place, in which all of the company's properties, including studios and franchises, will be sold to the highest bidders.

Now, South Park Digital Studios has filed an objection over the sale of the publishing rights for South Park: The Stick of Truth, saying that it needs to ultimately decide what company will get to release the game, seeing as how it owns the South Park rights.

In response to the objection, via CVG, THQ says that, since the license deal was exclusive to THQ, it is subjected to the transfer of copyright ownership that's covered by the auction.

As of yet, however, the auction hasn't finished and it's unknown just what will happen to THQ's properties or studios.
