The new device will perform well in Europe, based on pre-orders

Jim Ryan, the leader of the European division of PlayStation, says that his company and publisher Electronic Arts have a strong relationship, despite the fact that an exclusive deal linking the Xbox One and FIFA 14 was announced.

The executive is quoted by VG247 as saying that the PlayStation 4 does not require such a deal because Sony already has trouble fulfilling all pre-orders that have been placed.

He adds, “It’s common knowledge that EA has done a deal with Microsoft, but all of its games – Battlefield, Need for Speed, FIFA – are all on PS4. In fact, the only platform you could play Battlefield 4 at gamescom was on PS4. Try and find that on Xbox One.”

Ryan also says that the PlayStation 4 has an advantage over the Xbox One because there’s no confusion and no ambiguity associated with the device.

The PS4 will be out on November 29 in Europe, while the Xbox One will be available in 13 core countries on November 22.
