Video game publisher Sony and LEGO are currently working together on a future generation of brick-based toys that might include motors, cameras, and actuators.

According to PC World, the main team engaged with the future of the LEGO line is based in Tokyo at the Sony Computer Science Laboratories.

Ganta Kondo, the leader of the team at the company, states, “LEGO is concerned about losing kids to video games. We want to keep the size small, but add interactive games.”

In the last decade, LEGO has become increasingly involved in the video games world, delivering games that use its unique toys to recreate universes ranging from Star Wars to Indiana Jones and Batman.

It seems that the new generation of LEGO toys will also include more ways to interact with computers and might be integrated in new video game concepts.
