Sony has revealed that it’s terminating the multiplayer modes of several games on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable platforms, including Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Motorstorm Arctic Edge, as well as SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 or The Eye of Judgment: Legends.

Cutting online support for certain games is becoming a popular practice as quite a few companies have resorted to eliminating multiplayer modes in their older games in order to save money and focus their servers on current experiences.

Sony has now confirmed that it will soon terminate the online support for quite a few titles on October 1, including Motorstorm Pacific Rift on the PlayStation 3, as well as Motorstorm Arctic Edge and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 on the PSP.

The PSP version of The Eye of Judgment: Legends is also going to lose its multiplayer mode on August 31.

All these games will still retain their single-player campaign.
