After taking a look back at the performances of the PS1, PS2 or PS3, Sony has now released a special commemorative video that examines its handheld platforms – the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita.

Sony is getting ready to debut the next-generation PlayStation 4 tomorrow, February 20, at a special conference in New York City, called the Evolution of PlayStation.

As part of the teaser campaign, the company has released in the last few days special videos that took a walk down memory lane, highlighting the performance of the PlayStation 1, the PlayStation 2, and the PlayStation 3.

Now, thanks to the latest video, Sony shows off the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita, the two handheld platforms that were released in the console family.

While neither has exactly become a success story in terms of sales, Sony once again highlights their power and their various features, including cross-play on the PS Vita.
