Good news for those planning to purchase Sony's PlayStation 4 console when it goes on sale later this year, but who still want to play on their PC gaming rigs.

Sony's PlayStation President Shuhei Yoshida has just confirmed that the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller will be compatible with PCs.

According to him, the device will come by default with compatibility for PCs, but only for basic functions. Further on, he has confirmed that the buttons and control sticks will be fully functional on the PC, but more advanced features will not work at launch.

It's possible that Sony will add PC compatibility for DualShock 4's touch pad and other advanced features of the controller, but for now, this is all we get. We will keep an eye out for any additional details on this one, so stay tuned.
