14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Sony has announced that fans of the series can now place pre-orders for the upcoming God of War: Ascension video game, which will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 during the spring of 2013.
Intrepid gamers managed to uncover information about Ascension before Sony officially announced the game this week and the company has moved fast in order to allow fans to pre-order the ttle from a number of retailers.
As the name implies Ascension will take a look at the origins of Kratos, the Spartan warrior that has been the star of the series and has taken out quite a few gods during the course of the previous three core titles.
Sony describes God of War: Ascension as the most ambitious title in the franchise although the company has not yet offered any clear details on what adventures gamers will be embarking on.
More information will probably be offered at this year’s E3 trade show.
