The speedrun skips over a lot of content, as expected

Apparently, it didn't take long for speedrunners to master From Software's latest creation, the PlayStation 4 exclusive Blooborne.

For most players, the game takes tens of hours to complete and poses a challenge that seems insurmountable at first, especially if you're not acquainted with From Software's previous titles, Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 and 2, and its custom brand of sadistic difficulty.

The game punishes you for being bad at it and it punishes you for thinking you are able to master it, but eventually, once you start getting the hang of it, it's amazing to become aware of your own progress.

Apparently, there's a pretty high limit on the skill ceiling for the game, as evidenced by a streamer who managed to beat the game in a mere 44 minutes.

The speedrun belongs to the Any% flavor, where it doesn't matter what or how you do, and the goal is to get to the end of the game as fast as possible, not to complete everything.

The streamer explained that his run involves exploiting several glitches, including an early skip into a part of the game normally available much later on.

In any case, his achievement is impressive and definitely something to think about while rolling around the Cleric Beast boss for the umpteenth time.
