Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, the lackluster first-person shooter released by City Interactive earlier this month will get its first paid downloadable content pack this week, in the form of Siberian Strike, which gives players a more hardcore mission.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was eagerly awaited by quite a lot of shooter fans who prefer a slower, more methodical approach to taking out enemies on a battlefield.

Sadly, the game didn't exactly deliver on its promise, as its AI was quite erratic and it often forced players to take on lots of enemies at the same time.

Now, after canceling the dismemberment DLC, developer City Interactive has confirmed, via Joystiq, that this week it's going to release the Siberian Strike DLC for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.

The add-on sends players to Siberian research station and won't offer them key advantages like a spotter or a real-time map, meaning they'll have to work hard in order to complete the mission.

The DLC will be released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 tomorrow, March 27, for 800 MS Points/€9.99/$9.99.
