City Interactive and Namco Bandai confirmed that their upcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 shooter has been pushed back from its initial August release date and would now appear in October.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 promises to enhance greatly on the original game in the series, using the new CryEngine 3 technology and boasting a wide array of improvements.

We’ve already seen quite a few screenshots and even a video with the game, but now fans are in for a bit of bad news, as the shooter has been postponed until October 9, after originally being marked for release on August 21.

No reason was given for the delay, but it seems that the new release date is a global one, for both North America and Europe.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is set to appear on platforms like the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
