PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 patch will address different problems

The developers at Bethesda have announced that they will be launching a patch for their very popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during the week after Thanksgiving, addressing most if not all of the problems that players have been reporting with their games.

The Twitter message from Bethesda says: “PS3 & 360 updates have been submitted for certification. PC coming too. Current estimate is they will be live the week after T’giving.”

The fact that certification is taking place for the console patch might mean that developers can continue to fix problems on the PC before putting the patch out.

I have not encountered any game breaking problems with Skyrim since I began playing it on the PC, despite putting more than 60 hours into the game, but some are reporting major issues with save game sizes on the PlayStation 3 and with textures on the Xbox 360.

Skyrim is available on the PC in addition to gaming consoles and has managed to sell more than 3.5 million during its first day on sale.
