Klei Entertainment and Electronic Arts have just released a brand new video that focuses on the cooperative Survival Mode from the upcoming Shank 2, showing off new details and plenty of gameplay footage.

Shank 2 promises to improve on its original, while the new Survival mode is designed to offer a bigger challenge to players, instead of the story-based co-op one we saw in the first title.

Now, after releasing just a few details, Klei and EA, the developer and publisher of Shank 2, have posted a special video that goes in-depth with the Survival Mode.

First up, gamers can play with a buddy either locally or online, being tasked with protecting three stashes from waves of enemies. They can unlock 16 different costumes, including the Hobo with a Shotgun one we saw last month, while earning cash and purchasing reinforcements. Three unique locations are part of this mode, although just one is being showcased in the video above.

Check out the footage and get ready for Shank 2 on February 7, for the PC and North American PSN, and on February 8, for the Xbox Live Arcade and European PSN.
