A new Shadows of the Damned game may arrive from developer Grasshopper Manufacture, as even if the original title recorded low sales, composer Akira Yamaoka is confident that there’s demand for a new experience.

Shadows of the Damned arrived from Grasshopper Manufacture last year, being masterminded by famous Japanese video game developers Goichi Suda, of No More Heroes fame, Shinji Mikami, who made the original Resident Evil titles, and had music from Akira Yamaoka, who previously worked on the Silent Hill series.

While the game received great reviews, sales weren’t so good, so publisher Electronic Arts has been tight lipped about the possibility of a sequel.

According to Yamaoka, however, a new title may appear at some point in time, as the composer and the team at Grasshopper are thinking about the sequel.

He revealed to Eurogamer that he’s definitely looking forward to revisiting the series and, with some convincing, EA could certainly get on board.

Would you like a sequel to Shadows of the Damned or is the first one enough for you?
