Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown, originally known as Shadowrun Online, is finally out of Early Access, ready to take everyone on a testing cyberpunk-flavored tactical journey.

The game was made possible by a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, with the developers aiming to take the atmospheric and highly complex setting of Shadowrun, the popular tabletop gaming ruleset and universe, and transfer it to an online video game.

Their effort is now completed, after the game spent quite some time on Steam's Early Access program, and the team released a launch trailer showing their work so far, and outlining some of the content you can expect to find within the game.

In addition to a gritty cyberpunk universe that sees technology meeting magic in a very exciting and novel clash, the game offers a challenging turn-based tactical experience, with players being in charge of teams of runners trying to earn a living in a perilous world, run by corporations and greed.

The most popular cyberpunk universe of all time, Shadowrun, already has some pretty solid titles out there, in the form of Harebrained Schemes' Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and now the team is also working on Shadowrun: Hong Kong.

In the meantime, Cliffhanger Production's online take on the action can give you plenty of action, and the best part is that you can enjoy it in cooperative multiplayer.
