The development team at Precursor Games says that, despite the failure of its crowd funding effort for Shadow of the Eternals, it is looking for new ways to fund the development process and might have new information for fans in the coming weeks.

On its official Kickstarter page the company states that it managed to get less than half of the resources required from close to 6,000 fans.

A statement quoted by Gamespot adds, “It is unfortunate that we were unable to crowd-fund this project at this time, but we have not given up. We intend to pursue other avenues with the ultimate goal of having our games come to fruition.”

It’s unclear whether David Hayter, the voice actor best known for his work for Metal Gear Solid, was still set to play lead detective Paul Becker.

Initially, Shadow of the Eternals was set to launch in October 2014 on the PC and the Nintendo Wii U.
