The development team at Epic Games is continuing its promotional efforts for the upcoming Unreal Engine 4 by showing a demo called Elemental running on the PlayStation 4 hardware that Sony is currently working on.

The Elemental demo is designed to show off the power of the engine to create complex environments and populate them with details before using advanced lighting techniques in order to bring them to life.

Unreal Engine 4 is designed to work on next-generation home console and will use their improved hardware to deliver more realistic game experiences.

For the new demo, Epic Games has dropped Sparse Voxel Octree Global Illumination.

The PlayStation 4 is expected to launch before the end of the year, with information about pricing and a design reveal set to appear during E3 2013.
