Steve Jaros, creative director at Saints Row developer Deep Silver Volition, has announced his departure from the studio in order to get a brand new job at Half-Life maker Valve.

The disclosure comes from Jaros' very own Twitter account, where he shared the news of his relocation, but didn't disclose anything regarding his future role at Valve. In the past, he worked as lead writer on every Saints Row title.

"The past 10 years at Volition have been life changing. I've gotten to work with amazing people and made friends that will last a lifetime. I'm super proud of the work we did on Saints Row, and am excited for what Volition does in the future, but it's time for me to move on. I'm looking forward to new adventures at Valve Software," Jaros stated.

Developer Volition is currently working on a new standalone expansion to Saints Row 4, titled Gat Out of Hell, and on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions of Saints Row 4, dubbed Re-Elected, due out on January 27, 2015.

The port will include all released DLC for the action-adventure video game, and will also be available bundled with the Gat Out of Hell expansion, which is also headed to PS3 and Xbox 360.
