The development team at Runic Games announces that it has no plans to launch Torchlight 2 on consoles at the moment as the team still has big plans for the franchise on the PC.

The first game in the series was launched on the Xbox 360 and many fans are also expecting the sequel to be delivered on current-gen systems at some point in the future.

Runic Games says that it is not yet ready to offer more information on the game it is working on, but that it is still planning to deliver a Mac version of Torchlight 2, according to VG247.

Since launch, the action role-playing game has managed to sell more than 2 million copies.

Diablo 3, one of the main rivals of Torchlight 2, has recently been released on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 and is also set to be delivered on next-gen consoles in the fall.
