RollerCoaster Tycoon World maker Area 52 Games has published a development blog outlining the core principles of the design used in creating the upcoming game from the ground up.

Atari's RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile game was a pretty big flop, being criticized by fans of the original series for its low quality and for defying the community's expectations, and now the company is trying to do the right thing and release a proper simulation title.

The blog entry details that the game's building foundation is one of the most complex pieces of the entire puzzle, and that Area 52 Games is committed to provide an experience that vastly improves the one offered in previous installments.

The developers are aiming to deliver a huge variety of park elements, including some entirely new ones, in order to enable simulation enthusiasts to create their own dream theme park, with a ton of different flavors to choose from, including Western, Space, Pirate and Americana.

Meanwhile, the original creators of the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise, Frontier Developments, are currently involved with expanding the newly released space opera simulator Elite: Dangerous and have announced Coaster Park Tycoon, a sort of spiritual successor to the building and management series, based on a brand new intellectual property.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World is expected to debut on PC sometime in 2015.
