Rockstar Games has denied rumors about canceling or delaying the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PC platform, confirming that the game is still set to appear this fall for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms worldwide.

GTA 5 appeared for the PS3 and Xbox 360 almost one year ago and went on to break sales records by delighting tens of millions of console owners from around the world.

Since then, Rockstar has kept on updating the game and its GTA Online multiplayer experience, but it's also been working hard on adapting GTA 5 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

The studio revealed earlier this summer that the open world game is going to appear for the aforementioned devices this fall but, since then, it's been silent on the whole thing, declining to offer a release date.

Last week, rumors about the cancelation of GTA 5 for PC, due to corporate reasons, appeared and sparked a controversy.

Now, a Rockstar representative has come forward to deny on the official website any speculations about the delay or cancelation of GTA 5.

"I'm also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed," the representative said, linking to the announcement made by Rockstar back in June about a fall release of GTA 5 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

As such, it's still unclear when in the fall GTA 5 will debut for the new platforms.
