Gamers can look forward to a Metal and an Alternative Rock DLC

Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it is launching a new piece of downloadable content for Rocksmith called Classic Rock, which is available on the Xbox 360 via the Live service in Europe, the Middle East, Asia.

On October 31, the same content will also be offered on the PlayStation 3 via the official Store.

The new song package includes:

Lynyrd Skynyrd – “Free Bird” Deep Purple – “Smoke on the Water” Boston – “More Than a Feeling” Heart – “Barracuda” Blue Oyster Cult – “(Don't Fear) the Reaper” The Blues Brothers – “Soul Man” The Police – “Message in a Bottle” The Police – “Roxanne” The Police – “Synchronicity II” Queen – “Bohemian Rhapsody” Queen – “Fat Bottomed Girls” Queen – “Keep Yourself Alive” Queen – “Killer Queen” Queen – “Stone Cold Crazy” Otis Redding – “(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay”

The retail price is 2400 Microsoft Points.

Ubisoft has plans to also deliver other DLC content for Rocksmith called Alternative Rock and Metal.
