Some brand new concept art pieces for the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider made their way to the surface of the Internet, allowing us a peek into the world we’ll soon be able to explore.

Developer Crystal Dynamics is currently working on the follow-up to the 2013 hit action adventure video game, expected this holiday season on Xbox platforms, and further down the line on PlayStation consoles and the PC.

For the time being, the game remains a mystery, as we don’t know any specifics about it, apart from the fact that the action will take place in the Siberian tundra. There will be crafting, survival mechanics, a dynamic day and night cycle, and a more robust stealth and combat system.

The developer has released a handful of concept art pieces into the wild, showing off some snow-covered peaks, a mostly desolate but beautiful environment, and some helicopters stirring up a ruckus.

Publisher Square Enix is hosting a press conference at E3 this year, and we’re sure we'll find out more about the title then. The E3 convention will run from June 16 to June 18, and Square Enix’s dedicated conference is scheduled to take place on its very first day.
