No more content will be created for the shooter

The development team at Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts are officially announcing that they are now offering all map packs that were ever launched for Titanfall for free on the Xbox One, the Xbox 360 and the PC.

An official post from Vince Zampella, the chief executive officer of the studio, says that the move is designed to thank the community for the support they have offered to the shooter during its first year of life.

He adds, "You’ve given back to us by creating costumes, videos, tournaments and art inspired by the game that continue to amaze the team here at Respawn. In turn, we’ve worked hard to create new modes and features as well as maps to show our commitment to you and keep giving you more reasons to enjoy Titanfall."

In order to get the new content for the title, gamers need to go to the official stores on the Xbox One, the 360 or Origin on the PC and download the Season Pass.

Presumably, there are no plans to deliver more new content for Titanfall after the final IMC Rising DLC, and neither Respawn nor Electronic Arts have said whether they intend to make the game the first in a long-term franchise, although rumors about a sequel have been appearing for a while.
