After confirming that it's going to release Resident Evil: Revelations onto the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U after launching it on the Nintendo 3DS last year, Capcom has now revealed that a PS Vita version won't be made.

Resident Evil: Revelations impressed quite a lot of 3DS owners back in early 2012 and now Capcom is getting ready to debut the experience onto high-definition platforms, like the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Sadly, the PS Vita won't receive its own version of the game, as Capcom revealed, via PS blog, that it "really wanted to hone in on the experience you get with a large format screen, surround sound, etc."

Such an emphasis isn't possible on the PS Vita, according to the company, so owners of the handheld console won't be able to enjoy the new survival shooter on their platform.
