The Resident Evil: Revelations demo has received a release date of May 14 at least for the Nintendo Wii U, thanks to a special newsletter sent by the company to Wii U owners in North America.

Resident Evil: Revelations is set to appear at the end of the month for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U platforms, after having already launched on the 3DS last year.

Developer Capcom promised that a demo would appear ahead of its launch and now it seems that at least the free trial for the Wii U has received a release date of May 14.

Nintendo sent out a special newsletter to Wii U owners in North America, available here, in which it mentions that a free trial for Resident Evil: Revelations will be available on the Wii U eShop on May 14.

Capcom hasn't commented on this reveal so it's unclear just when the game's demo will appear for other platforms like PC, PS3, or Xbox 360.

The actual game is out on May 21 in North America, and May 24 in Europe.
