Olivier Deriviere, the leader of audio development for the upcoming Remember Me, says that the music for the title is inspired by cult British band Aphex Twin and that it will reflect the confusion that the main character is feeling.

He tells VG247 that, “You do have a main theme here, but she’s confused. She’s lost everything. She’s a bug, an errorist, and the music has to reflect that. The main theme has one synth and one voice, which is Nilin, digitalised and singing. The two morph into each other.”

The main character of Remember Me will explore the city of Neo-Paris, battling enemies and solving puzzles in order to regain access to her past.

The game uses action-adventure mechanics and deals with themes including digitalization and humanity’s future.

The music also gives players a sense of immersion and reward when they progress through the game.

Remember Me will be launched during June.
