Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is free-to-play via the Steam digital distribution service for the following weekend and those who like the experience can also get the game with a 75 percent price cut, which comes to 4.49 Euro or 4.99 dollars.

The free-to-play offer is available until Sunday at 1 PM Pacific Standard Time and the reduction in cost is offered until 10 AM on Monday.

The official game description reads: “Heroes of Stalingrad focuses on the Battle of Stalingrad and the surrounding operations, both German and Russian, from July 1942 to February 1943. The game allows the player to experience one of the most brutal battles in all of human history.”

The development team is not interested in flashy graphics and complex narratives but in creating an authentic and reality-focused first-person shooter experience that shows how World War II played out on the Eastern Front.
