Capcom has confirmed that its recently released games, like Resident Evil 6, won't be launched on the Nintendo Wii U, as the Japanese company wants only its future projects to arrive on the new home console.

The Nintendo Wii U came out late last year and received a variety of impressive games, ranging from new properties, like ZombiU, to titles that have already been released on other platforms, like Assassin's Creed 3 or Darksiders 2.

Recent Capcom games won't make their way onto the Wii U, as its Senior Vice President, Christian Svensson, has told members of the official forums that only new titles will be made for the Wii U.

"With regard to Wii U, in general we're looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table," he said.

As such, recent titles, like Resident Evil 6, or upcoming ones, like DmC Devil May Cry, won't make their way onto the new console.
