Ubisoft has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Legends has been delayed a couple of weeks, as the studio needs time to give it the amount of polish expected by gamers.

Rayman Legends was expected to debut for the Wii U last year but it was delayed several times, with Ubisoft confirming that the game will also appear for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and even PS Vita.

Now, right before the game's launch in Europe on Friday, August 30, Ubisoft has confirmed that the PS Vita edition has received a last-minute delay.

As such, the portable version of Rayman Legends is going to debut on September 12, in Europe at least, according to DigitalSpy.

It's unclear if the delay is also going into effect in North America and, if it is, it's also unclear when the game might be released in that territory for the PS Vita.
