It seems that large retailer GameStop has eliminated Rainbow Six: Patriots from its internal database, meaning it will no longer accept any pre-orders for the tactical shooter that was revealed a few years ago by Ubisoft.

Rainbow 6: Patriots was supposed to be the next installment in the long running shooter series but, ever since its confirmation, Ubisoft has been relatively silent on the matter.

Now, after a recent report that the game is being remade for next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720, GameStop has apparently eliminated the game from its internal database.

According to IGN, this rarely happens with such a high-profile game and it seems that the decision wasn't a glitch in the system, according to the website's sources.

Ubisoft issued a regular "no comment" on the matter, so it's unclear when Rainbow Six: Patriots will get new details.
