The development team at CD Projekt RED announces that it is officially launching the REDkit, a set of modding programs that closely resemble the tools used to create The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

Gamers who download them via the official website can create entirely new adventures, starring Geralt or their own heroes, with branching plots, complex combat situations and interesting dialog.

Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED, states,“Our fans have helped us for years to make our games the best they can be, and REDkit is part of embracing our community as a partner in game development.”

The team is also launching a new section of its website designed to show off the best content created by the community.

The first Mod of the Month is made by Philipp Weber from Germany and CD Projekt RED is rewarding his dedication with a unique Witcher sword.

The REDKit is also offered via Softpedia.
