Slightly Mad Studios' upcoming racing simulation video game looks pretty amazing on PC, but that's mainly due to the fact that gaming rigs are usually very beefy and power users also employ multiple monitors in order to enjoy the title at 4K resolutions.

However, the developer has assured gamers that the console editions of the racer will look every bit as enticing as the PC version, and now we have a video showcasing the visuals of the Xbox One final preview version live on the Internet, for everyone to enjoy.

The gameplay footage comes courtesy of Team VVV, and switches between cockpit, hood, 3rd person and cinematic perspectives, showcasing the great-looking tracks and vehicles in action.

Project Cars was initially announced back in 2013, and now it's finally getting ready to set sail, with its release scheduled for later this week, on May 7, in Europe, and on May 12 in North America. The game will be available in both digital and retail form, on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms.

Slightly Mad Studios is also working on Nintendo Wii U and SteamOS ports for Project Cars, but for the time being, there is no release window for the editions, other than sometime later this year.
