A comparison video of the current state of Project Cars and the way it looked two years ago has emerged on the Internet, showing the upcoming racing title's tremendous evolution over the time period.

The comparison video makes use of the same car and track in order to better highlight the differences between now and then, and the two extra years spent in development are easily visible.

From additional roadside models such as trees and houses that give life to the area beyond the track, to a more realistic and vibrant lighting engine, with superb shadows that have more depth and great reflections, up until the obvious improvement in texture quality, Project Cars looks simply amazing.

One of the most interesting bits about Project Cars is that the funding for the game was raised by the developers themselves, together with the gaming community, without taking the traditional route of securing funding from a big publisher, which is impressive for an ambitious racer that wants to deliver this level of graphical fidelity.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios aims to release the racing title on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms, in November this year. A Wii U and SteamOS version is also in the cards, currently scheduled to drop a little bit later on, in 2015.
