Ubisoft is preparing a reboot of its classic Prince of Persia franchise and a screenshot from one of the game’s earlier builds has just appeared on the web, showing off a man standing in front of a crowd in a distinct Middle Eastern village.

Prince of Persia games have delivered some impressive experiences over the years, but newer installments haven’t exactly featured that same top notch quality.

As such, Ubisoft has been working hard on a reboot of the series designed to bring plenty of new elements to the action adventure franchise.

Now, thanks to a screenshot found on the Ubisoft forums, it seems that an early build of this reboot, codenamed POP_ZERO_2, is already in development.

As you can see above, a man is sitting in the middle of a square in a Middle Eastern village, but he does look to have a more solid build than previous Princes, who were more athletic.

Ubisoft has yet to comment on the leaked screenshot but you can expect to hear something about a new Prince of Persia game in the future.
