Players can lose progress and Nintendo has not commented on the problem

A number of players of the recently launched Pokemon X & Y are reporting that they are encountering a game breaking bug linked to the Lumiose City location, which apparently leads to corrupted saves that cannot be recovered.

Reports, including some delivered via video, are saying that saves created in Lumiose make the entire game and the 3DS unresponsive when they are loaded.

Gamers just need to delete the problem save or overwrite it to make sure that they are not affected.

There’s currently no way of recovering the file and that means that unlucky players can lose quite a bit of game progress.

Nintendo has not yet responded to the reports and the problem is apparently present in both Japanese and European versions of Pokemon X & Y.

Once the problem is confirmed, the team that created the game will probably deliver a quick fix to eliminate it.
