Nintendo announces that it has re-launched the Pokemon Bank application for Japan and other Asian territories and that it is currently also preparing to deliver it to Western fans of the series.

The company explains via Twitter that, "We'll be closely monitoring players' experiences as we prepare for the European release (3/4)."

Pokemon Bank was supposed to appear in late 2013 but was pulled after the Nintendo eShop was affected by outages over the Christmas period, prompting plenty of disappointment among the series faithful.

The application can be used to store and sort a huge number of Pokemon for those fans of the series who want to have a full collection, as long as a 5 dollar or Euro fee is paid every year.

The import process works for the X & Y and the older Black & White titles in the franchise.
