Sony has confirmed that a brand new feature has just been added to its PlayStation Store virtual marketplace, as users can add funds to their online wallets by paying with their phone, and the amount is billed directly to the carrier in the United States.

The PlayStation Store has seen some big improvements in recent years, with a new user interface and a variety of fresh features that allow users to spend their money much easier on the virtual marketplace.

Now, a fresh option has been added to the Add Funds feature, which allows users to supplement the amount of money they have in their PlayStation Wallet.

Instead of using credit cards, prepaid cards, or PayPal, they can now employ their mobile phone if they're in the United States.

All they need to do is add their mobile phone number and respond via SMS to confirm the transaction. The charge will then appear on the next phone bill or will be taken out of the pre-paid account, according to the PS blog.
