PS4 owners in PAL regions can enjoy unlimited online action

PlayStation Europe confirms that, between February 13 and 16, it's going to kick off a free PlayStation Plus weekend, meaning that PS4 owners without active Plus subscriptions can enjoy unlimited access to multiplayer on their home console.

The PS4 launched back in November of 2013 and introduced not just new hardware but also new restrictions when it comes to multiplayer gaming, as console owners require a PS Plus subscription in order to play their titles with others online, unlike the PS3 that had no such rules.

Considering the free games offered to Plus members, besides the other advantages, there are quite a few subscribers but even so, many still aren't paying for it.

In order to give non-Plus PS4 owners a taste of what they're missing out, Sony confirms on the PS blog that, starting 6am GMT (7am CET) on Friday, February 13, until 6am GMT (7am CET) on Monday, February 16, there will be free PS Plus weekend in all the PAL regions.

As such, all PS4 owners in Europe, Middle East, Australia, and other parts of the world can play their multiplayer titles for free in that specific time frame.

Bear in mind that other Plus advantages, such as the free games, the addition PS Store discounts, or the cloud back-up won't be offered during the weekend.
