Sony's European Community Manager confirms that, if everything goes smoothly, the official announcement for the PlayStation Plus February lineup will be revealed this week.

The PlayStation Plus membership is a great deal for owners of consoles like the PS4, PS3, or PS Vita. Not only does it unlock access to multiplayer on the new home device but it also brings plenty of free games across all three platforms.

After unleashing great titles like Infamous: First Light, The Swapper, Prototype 2, and many more in January, Sony is getting ready to debut the lineup of February.

According to the Twitter of Chris Owen, the community manager for PlayStation Europe, the announcement might arrive this week, provided that everything goes smoothly.

Unlike with the December of January lineups, there have been no mentions of what games might be offered for free next month.

Don't forget that Sony is also set to deliver the free Driveclub PS Plus edition onto the PS4 platform, which was initially scheduled to appear alongside the actual game in October, but got postponed indefinitely due to the server issues that plagued the full game.

Last time developer Evolution talked about the game's free PS Plus edition, it mentioned that more work was still needed to ensure that the infrastructure would support the influx of new users.
