Streaming service Twitch announces that it has eliminated the PlayStation 4 Playroom from its directory listing because too many users of the new Sony console were using the videos to show off content that was not linked to video games.

CVG quotes the company as saying that, “We will look into adding it back as PS4 owners become more familiar with the games-only focus of Twitch content.”

Since the PS4 was first launched, a number of users have created Playroom shows that were streamed but focused on pranks, calls and even some mature content.

Sony integrated the Twitch service into its new hardware in order to give gamers a quick and easy way of showing friends what they were currently playing and to convince them to pick up the same title.

Recently, Microsoft has also banned some users of the Upload Studio on the Xbox One for similar inappropriate use.
